How Ask Tim Works

Ask Tim uses AI to find, organize, and explain material from source-grounded Learning Center articles. AI supplies organization and wording, not source material. Every factual claim, argument, interpretation, and viewpoint must be grounded in identifiable human authors and scholars, with citations that let you trace where those ideas came from. Ask Tim tells you when the available articles are incomplete.

3. Show sources and limitsYou can inspect the support, open the articles used, and see when coverage is incomplete.

Public beta: The article library is still growing. Ask Tim may give a full answer, a useful but limited answer, or say that the current library does not cover the question well enough yet.

What answers are based on

Learning Center articles are built from curated research and identifiable human-authored sources. AI may help organize and phrase that material, but it is not a source or doctrine authority.

Ask Tim may use only the published Learning Center articles available to it. It may connect relevant teaching, but it may not add facts, arguments, interpretations, or viewpoints from general model knowledge. When those articles cannot support a responsible answer, Tim should say so.

How articles are prepared

The Learning Center organizes source claims and citations so their support can be checked. Articles pass automated checks for source support, citation accuracy, directness, viewpoint ownership, teaching quality, limits, doctrine labeling, and publication integrity.

Human review is prioritized for sensitive pastoral or ethical claims, unresolved source conflicts, unusually broad consensus claims, source problems, and unclear doctrinal ownership. Not every beta article has received individual line-by-line human review.

Sources, views, and limits

Citations

A citation marker shows which source supports a paragraph. It does not by itself prove that the source is correct, that every scholar agrees, or that the answer is complete.

Some sources are openly available. Others have only public bibliographic details or cannot be displayed in full.

Different views

When articles present different positions, Ask Tim identifies who holds each view where the support allows. Reasons, objections, and replies remain connected to the positions they address. An answer may not include every major position unless it explicitly says its review of views is complete.

Incomplete coverage

Finding relevant material does not mean that every important part of a question is covered. Ask Tim may label an answer useful but limited. If the articles cannot answer the central question, it returns a not-yet-covered result rather than inventing an answer.

LBC's role

Lacey Bible Church sponsors the Learning Center, but LBC's doctrinal position is kept separate from the source-grounded explanation of a question. Most questions do not require an LBC doctrinal note.

When a doctrinal note is relevant, it is labeled as LBC's position rather than presented as a neutral summary of a debate. Bible studies and sermons are taught by people; Ask Tim does not generate those recordings.

Corrections and privacy

Report a suspected problem

You may report a factual, citation, attribution, viewpoint, doctrine-labeling, privacy, or presentation problem. LBC prioritizes reports by seriousness and available editorial capacity. A report may lead to a correction, clarification, withdrawal, limitation notice, or no change. No response or resolution date is promised.

Corrections are separate from requests for new topic coverage. Include only the minimum non-sensitive information needed to identify the problem.

The email action below includes this public reference so the exact Learning Center material can be identified. The reader's question text is intentionally excluded.

Privacy

Your Ask Tim question is used to produce that answer. Its text is not recorded as product analytics. This page does not collect question, correction, feedback, coverage, session, or user content. A correction email is composed in your email app and delivered through your email provider to LBC.

The public Learning Center does not expose private source material, internal review records, prompts, credentials, or operational diagnostics.

The goal is to help you understand what the available teaching supports, where responsible views differ, and where the Learning Center still has work to do.
